Add a CommentThis is a perfect series for a wintery weekend. It has terrific atmosphere and the location that makes me want to hightail to Alaska ( even though I think it was shot in Canada!) I love all the characters - their quirks, qualities and foibles. The storylines are both entertaining, fun and intriguing. I can't think of another series like it. It rewards repeated viewing, love it!
A truly unique series. Its creators deserve major kudos for trying something new. The show somehow makes humans lovable, so right there we know it's a fantasy. It also has elements of surreality, romance, mysticism, lots of humor and a lot more. For some reason, the show makes me think just a little about Joan of Arcadia, a series SPL does not have in its archive, but should. Both series have the mystical/spiritual element.
