I think that Michael Scott is a very talented author because Dr John Dee is or should I say was a real person and so was Nicholas and Penerelle Flamel. Legend has it that when Nicholas Flamel died someone opened the tomb and Nicholas's body was not there. And Nicholas Flamel was a alchemyst and apparently in his office holds the secret to let someone or something be imortal... But I don't believe in any of that stuff but I love this book I suggest that you read it!!!!!!
This book is an amazing book!
This was an AMAZING book. I read the first 3 and i can't wait for the Necromancer to come out. their actually making it into a movie too!
This was a very readable book. It was a refreshingly unique story in a time when everyone is writing/reading the same genre. It was also interesting to learn that the charater Nicholas Flamel was based on a real person. ALthough I was looking for a book that was not part of a trilogy or series, I am looking forward to the next one. The only negitive thing I can really say about the writting is that it drove me nuts that the author used the charater's first and last names throughout the entire book (as a reader, I know who the charaters are - there is no need to spell out their full name for me every time they say or think something).
