Kelly Barber's candid glimpses of Florence, Rome, Siena and many other beautiful Italian destinations reveal an unusual and arresting view of this well photographed country. From brilliant red post boxes against a burnt ochre wall in the evening sun to a mosaic of painted tiles embedded in a Sorrento pavement, Andiamo! is a jewel box of surprises. With beautifully layered images, loosely grouped by place, we follow Barber on her discovery of Italy. Her gentle narration traces her experiences of the culture, landscape and locals and evokes all of the senses - from her feeling of bewilderment in getting off the plane in Rome to crowded, chaotic streets and a wall of Italian voices, to the absolute joy she feels when sailing the turquoise waters around Sicily, inhaling the salty Tyrrhenian Sea.
