This is really a great book. I started reading it on a Monday morning and finished it wednesday night. I just never wanted to put it down! It's definitely a good read for those involved with special needs children and those who are on the autism spectrum.

This is by far one of Jodi PIcoult's best books that I have read. It deals with a child with Aspergers syndrome and gives you a totally new and different perspective into their world. Highly recommended-

I absolutely loved this book! I have worked with children with Autism and Aspergers and it was very similar to Jacob's experiences. A definite must read!

I found this book to be very difficult to put down. I enjoyed how each character had their own seperate story and life going on at the same time that they are all connnected. A very thriling book, ould definitely recommend it.

Another Amazing Book. Finished this within 3 days and had a hard time putting it down. I had to force myself to do so. Beautifully written from the stand point of someone with Aspergers. While usually people have a hard time understanding exactly what it is, the character of Jacob really helps tell things from his eyes and mind and helps the reader get a better understanding of their life. I was sad to finish the book, I wanted to read more. I wished for a different ending, or a continuance. It was that good.Highly Recommended.

This was an enthralling read - I had a hard time putting it down. Her writing is quick witted and evocative. The details of each person's life, especially the main character with Asperger's Syndrome, are well written and engaging. Highly recommended!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book for its incredible understanding and expression of Asberger's syndrome. The court case was a little less believable with witnesses offering far too much info than they were requested to respond to. This made the story somewhat contrived as statements fed into the storyline conveniently. The mystery was predictable but one hopes throughout the story that yet another outcome may be unveiled, to no avail. Nevertheless, I am a sucker for understanding mental disorders so it was a page turner for me.

Book Quote: “I don’t believe in self-pity. I think it’s for people who have too much time on their hands. Instead of dreaming of a miracle, you learn to make your own. But the universe has a way of punishing you for your deepest, darkest secrets; and as much as I love my son—as much as Jacob has been the star around which I’ve orbited—I’ve had my share of moments when I silently imagined the person I was supposed to be, the one who got lost, somehow, in the daily business of raising an autistic child.”
