Add a CommentThe second book of Flewelling’s Nightrunner series completes the story begun in Luck in the Shadows. The war against Plenimar escalates while a necromancer and an evil duke work to summon a destructive god who is the personification of death. Flewelling excels at creating action and suspense that is driven by her characters and their feelings for one another. I like the way she combines some really creepy and violent elements with witty dialog. Very satisfying.
