Pod, Homily, and Arrietty Clock--a small family of little people called Borrowers--must again pack up their belongings. The house that they are living in, together with their relatives, is about to be locked up--the human 'beans' are moving out. The Clocks desire to move to the miniature town of Little Fordham, built by to house a toy railroad, but the only way to get there is in a boat belonging to their good friend, the mysterious Borrower Spiller. Can the Clocks reach Little Fordham without falling into the hands of Mild Eye, the mercenary gypsy?
