Full-color photos. Viking presents an overview of this culture from music
to mealtime, social hierarchy, to the more violent aspects of their
explorations and expansions into new territories. Fascinating photographs of
ships, weapons, and artifacts will attract reluctant readers.-- School

I love Eyewitness Books because there are good overviews of cultural history and even though some captions are a higher level of reading, the real-feel pictures keep children interested (learning) and entertained (fun).

An interesting and informative read for young people or for an adult interested in some general knowledge on Vikings. This book is very well illustrated and should serve as an excellent reference book for a student developing a project for school. Senior Doctor-at Bass! D. A.
