Set against the backdrop of 1960s San Francisco, this is a modern take on the classic movies that Bruce Lee was known for. It takes its inspiration from the epic and still controversial showdown between an up and coming Bruce Lee and kung fu master Wong Jack Man, a battle that gave birth to a legend.

First movie like this that wasnt chinese..I expected chinese, like Ip Man...usually western culture movies ( ie: hollywood) screws it up...this time it came out right. Great choreography from Cory Yuen sure helped. A surprisingly entertaining movie.

I'm sure this is strictly fiction but the fight scenes were awesome!!! The movie made Bruce Lee appear to be arrogant and obnoxious. From what I've read about him, and interviews with those who knew him, he was a very humble man.

Not what you want it to be. Good fight scenes, but the story is more contrived than a Disney sports movie. The silliness and bad acting by the white actor in the lead role crush this “true” story’s integrity. Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story from the 90s is a flawed, but superior movie to this. Avoid this newer movie and find the older one with Jason Scott Lee if you want to learn about the life of Bruce Lee.

It's about master Lee, so it's all good.

Have no idea whether or not this movie is any good, but I did stumble on this vintage exhibition of Bruce Lee:
