These songs are moodier and introspective than the lively, fun, and upbeat songs of rumba guitar, and in my opinion the better for it. I most liked tracks 2, 5, 7, and 9.

Another Jesse Cook fan who didn't find this particular effort interesting.

I usually really like Jesse Cook's CDs, but this one just didn't capture my interest.

Toronto based guitarist, composer and producer, he incorporates flamenco rumba jazz with a flavor of other form of "world music" He never disappoints. Saw him at the NAC. What a treat.

I am a huge fan of Jesse Cook and saw him perform last fall. I enjoy this album, although I don't care for the vocal tracks. I find the instrumental tracks lovely and soothing to listen to, especially in the evening. I don't think it sounds at all like elevator music.

Jesse Cook has put out a lot of great albums in the latest part of his career, but this is not one of them. I found this attempt at elevator music entirely soporific and bland.
