This was a nice book of Randy Bachman's interesting stories from his days growing up in Winnipeg and then being with The Guess Who and Bachman Turner Overdrive. Many memories of his influences and of his collection of guitars.
Nice to have this in print, as his CBC AM radio show of Randy Bachman's Vinyl Tap, has many stories along with the songs that would be largely lost to many musical interests, if they had not known of or heard of his Saturday night radio shows which continues today since 2006.
An easy read and a good look at the musical scene from the 1950's and on, from a uniquely Canadian perspective.
Very interesting book. A good companion book to his autobiography with co-author John Einarson, and also to the second Vinyl Tap book. Good chapters on guitars.
Randy is a Tee totaler always was. He left the Guess who at it's height cuz he couldn't agree with the RnR lifestyle. Randy's memory is fine.
Unusual - a rocker from the 60s who can actually remember the 60s.
