Add NoticesSexual Content: Hattie asks on a tour around the castle if they could see where Char showers, causing the girls to shriek at the prospect of him being naked. Char is seen shirtless once when Ella is bandaging a wound. Ella and Char kiss passionately several times. Ella remarks to Hattie whether or not she volleys for Char because she thinks his butt is cute.
Other: Lucinda has a hangover (I think). A fairy is seen falling to the floor after having too much to drink, and intoxicating beverages are consumed by the giants. Skimpy costumes are prominent, including belly baring and cleavage bearing tops, and short skirts.

Add a CommentWhile I definitely love the book more, I still really like the movie. It's different, and by letting it be a separate entity I find it very enjoyable. It's fun and musical, with a really lovely cast.
Not even my 7 year old enjoyed this.
I highly recommend the book.
This movie is completely different from the book!
love the book it is soooooo good i don't see how you don't like it Strelly but she does save herself and she does not have a choice (do not want to spoil it) :)
Could of been a half way decent movie if it stood on it's own but it ruined itself by taking a strong female character who can do things such as saving herself and a bunch of nights from ogres and making her a bumbling, giddy girl who has to have Prince Charming save her. Also added a completely unnecessary plot line.
I love this movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Def. not something I would want to see again necessarily. Kinda cheesy, although the story-line is OK...not that bad though...
kind of different then the real cinderella , but it's still a good movie.
*face palm* Another book that a movie shames. WHY!? My sister got this to watch and because I read the book, I was like "No! It's going to suck! Everyone says so!" I was right. This movie was so CHEESY!! Makes me think of the Muppets Version of the Wizard of Oz. This movie was just....UGH...Gail Carson Levine's work doesn't deserve to be treated like this! I only liked a few things in this movie, them being Ella (she was probably the best actor of them all), Char (I admit, he's REALLY cute), Slannen (lol XD), and the whole [SPOILER!!!!] almost killing at the end, which was mentioned as a possibility in the book but never carried out. READ THE BOOK. IT MAKES SO MUCH MORE SENSE. And Cary Elwes was really downplayed in his shallow role as the villain. I mean, come on! Pfft, not something I'll watch again. Oh, and, it's not all entirely kid friendly. Please see my notices.
I love this movie. It is very funny. Just don't excpect it to be the same as the book becuase there are very different. But it's still really good.
