I liked that this was a very exciting book!

Like so many of Julia Donaldson's books, this is fun for adults to read. It sparked our 3.5 year-old to ask, "Where does meat come from?"

My son is really into dinos right now and this book was a great find at the library. It is cute, funny and has a great message for kids.

This book is really cute and fun to read. I also like the underlying message that it's great to go your own way and be yourself. No matter the obstacles you face. My 2yr old loved this book and likes to recite what the dinosaurs chant. Great for any little one and especially those that like dinosaurs.

My 6yo daughter loves this book. I've read it to her for a bedtime story every night for the past 4 nights. I expect she'll want it again tonight.

Gave it a 4 star only because of the repeated line "Up with war!" It is a minor issue but it still bothers me. I think another phrase could have been used. Is that going to stop me from reading it to her (again)? Nope.

That minor nit aside, it is a very fun book to read and my daughter quotes it often.

My children and I would gleefully quote the dinosaur tribes' refrains. This rhyming book was a joy to read.

Using fun rhymes and rhythms, this story has entranced my daughter. It has brought up some great conversations about not feeling included--- and about vegetarianism. A fun book to read over and over (even for the caregiver!)

Checked this one out for myself not my son, I LOVE this author and this is one of her better books. Not sure about the "lesson" of this book for kids though - I had thought it would be one of acceptance, but it is a new/dinosaur take on the Ugly Duckling tale.
