Flooding of Bridge ScaffoldingOnline Images - 1983
Extensions to the Plenty River Bridge at Greensborough. Reinforcing rods on the south bank sticking up from their concrete foundation were hit with heavy overnight rain which caused teh river to rise and flood the scaffolding area during construction. The rods had to be heated at river level, inches above the floor water, with a welding torch at two levels above two other workers had to bend the rods back to their correct position. This operation is shown in photos 457 - 459,
