Bluestone Bridge ArchOnline Images - 1983
Nancy Patterson and Gwen Cox of the Nillumbik Historical Society pose on the north arch of the old bluestone bridge at Main Street, Greensborough. This last arch was later destroyed by the Country Roads Board without warning. It was thought to have caused flooding. It was later learned that flooding was being caused by a storm water drain from Apollo Parkways will was discharging upstream. The bridge was built in the 1860s.
