In western Nebraska, what starts as a group of teens filming their drug-fueled party ends explosively, leaving victims apparently electrocuted with odd scorch marks. Pushing the boundary of credibility, this made a good book for a rainy afternoon, nothing more

Special Agent Maggie O'Dell, an FBI profiler, investigates the death of three teenagers while her friend Army Colonel Benjamin Platt tries to find out what bacteria is contaminating the food of school children. Interesting characters, scary scenario, believable story.

I like Alex Kava's books, but they are nothing out of the ordinary. Perfect for a plane ride or a day at the beach. Maggie is an interesting character. The plot is well developed with some good suspense and surprises. The Nebraska setting is interesting.

I do like Maggie O'Dell and her characterization. A short read but lots of action.
