A wonderful continuation of the first book, Point of Retreat highlights new life problems that tests how strong the relationship between Lake and Will really is. It is more cliché than the first book, however, still enjoyable.

I really don't want to say this, since I loved the first book so much...but I really didn't like how the book started and other various points in the story.

First of all. Will narrates this book. It's so different, seeing his point of view..but it's also weird. I definitely wouldn't have thought that he thinks like that, especially since he used to be a teacher and all. He seemed...less mature.
The middle of the book was pretty good, the plot twist and all.
The ending was also good. Better than the beginning, so that was nice.

But what I didn't like about this book was that it was too similar to the first one, and not as much happened.
I will DEFINITELY read the next one FOR SURE...but I just expected more from this book. I want to say that it deserves more than 5 stars. I don't know. It was good. But just not enough.

Another great read by Colleen Hoover. Not as good as the first one, but it was still good. From comments below, it looked like there's a third book in this series?? If so, I'll be sure to read it.

Beautiful sequel to Slammed. I loved it! I enjoyed this couple's journey through hardship and now happiness. I can't wait to read This Girl.

"Sometimes two people have to fall apart to realize how much they need to fall back together." from the jar quotes of Julia (Lake's mom), those words really moved me :3 Oookay, so Ms. Hoover did it again! >:D awesome read~ Lake and Will really grew in this sequel C: I butterflying love this freakin' book. Er.. I'm really having a hard time on deciding which of the two books is the greatest evahh, so I'm just gonna say both XD I recommend to everyone!!!! x3 "It's worth all the aches, all the tears, all the mistakes... The heart of a man and a woman in love? It's worth all the pain in the world."
