Mr. Qwerty is a man with big and unusual ideas. He feels alone because his ideas are not like others. But one day he creates something big that he is able to share with others. They love his idea. Mr. qwerty is not alone any more.

The pencil drawings are indeed incredible. Most of the story is in black and white. The problem is that the pictures, although richly illustrated are over busy. The reader does not know where to look on the page. And the illustrations are so in your face that you feel assaulted and are not sure where the illustrative flow is going. I would have liked for the author to pull back the lens a bit for an easier view.

The story is extremely simplistic and yet abstract at the same time. I often could not make sense of where the story was going. This book is advertized for ages 5-8. I do not know that the younger range will get what is intended from this story. But children who love mechanical things will like the drawings if nothing else. This is the author's first book and I look forward to seeing more of her incredible drawing talent in the future.
