Thrown By A Curve is the fifth erotically charged book in the Play-By-Play series from New York Times bestselling author Jaci Burton . Perfect for fans of Lori Foster, Maya Banks and Jill Shalvis.

This player has a few surprise moves... Alicia Riley's love for her job as a sports therapist for the St Louis Rivers baseball team is tested when she has to work with star pitcher Garrett Scott. Out of the line-up with an injury, he's short-tempered, hard to handle, and every solid inch, a man.

At first the only demand he makes is that Alicia get him ready to pitch. That is, until the hot sparks fly and Garrett figures there's no better therapy than sex. Alicia's tempted to oblige Garrett just about anything, but with their careers at stake, one bad move and it's game over for them both.

This story line is too much like in Playing to Win. And the heroine, Alicia, is a carbon copy of Savanna -- always right & totally without humour. The sex is sizzling but save your time & read one or the other.

Terrible book. The dialogue was so unimaginative I couldn't get past the first few chapters.

"What is going on with this series? my lease two favorite characters...Alicia and Savanna. OMG! they bitch and cry the most when they don't get what they want . some women shouldn't have sex for fun if they can't handle it... they need to leave there emotions at the door. you can't make a man fall in love with you until he is ready to. Max took it like a man when Garrett ask to work with Alicia...ho it was all good for her. how did Max feel? not good I bet. but he handle it like a professional should. I bet he ask himself did a chick just took my job? did he act out? get mad? mouth off? no...he took it like a man...but has soon as Garrett ask to work with Max again, she run off crying like a baby saying he is going to get all the credit for Garrett playing again. really? I don't think it would have made a difference if Garrett talk to her in private about Max taking over. I like Garrett he is a sweet guy! he would have told everyone she was the therapist he worked with... like that was the only thing she was doing LOL!
