”In this fun comic mystery, directed by her future husband Charles David (they were married in 1950 and stayed so until his death in 1999) and written by the creator of The Saint, Leslie Charteris, Deanna becomes a reluctant witness to murder. On her way to spend her Christmas holidays with her aunt in New York City young society woman Nikki Collins (Deanna), from the train window witnesses a man being murdered. When the police don?t believe her, she decides to turn detective and seeks help from her favourite mystery writer Wayne Morgan (David Bruce). The dead and turns out to be a wealthy ship-building magnate and when Nikki and Wayne head for the family mansion to search for clues she soon finds herself in a dangerous situation ? mistaken for the nightclub singer Margo Martin, the old man?s mistress to whom he has left his fortune. Deanna gets to sing Cole Porter?s Night and Day, Give Me a Little Kiss and the Christmas song Silent Night"--Container.
