Peter Parker's back to himself after that mind swap thing with Doctor Octopus finally ended, and this new volume by Dan Slott follows him as he gets used to life back among the conscious and fully aware, trying to come to terms with changes in his life while he wasn't in control of his own body. The presence of a woman with connections to what gave him his powers forms much of the story here, as do run-ins with a long term enemy and a former lover who now has a grudge. Slott's take on the character is good. The art, on the other hand, is a hindrance. Humberto Ramos is one of the worst artists in the industry, and he continues to plague this title on a regular basis.

To me, this is Ramos' best work. His art just seems more rounded (despite the incredibly goofy cover). The introduction of Silk is ok, her relationship with Peter humourous, and waiting in the wings in the return of one of the best of Spidey's modern villains. I look forward to seeing how they'll deal with him.

Nice Artwork & Storyline.

SOOOOOOO happy they got rid of "The Superior Spiderman". Otto was an okay Spidey, but I like Peter much better.
