Though DarkRiver sentinel Mercy is feeling the pressure to mate, she savagely resists when Riley Kincaid, a lieutenant from the SnowDancer pack, tries to possess her. The problem is not simply that he pushes her buttons; the problem is that he's a wolf, she's a cat, and they're both used to being on top. But when a brilliant changeling researcher is kidnapped from DarkRiver territory, Mercy and Riley must work together to track the young man.

Intense! Romantic/Sexy! Funny! that's pretty much all that needs to be said.

More of the same good stuff! Do I ever love the mating dance! A lot of romance in this one. This time it's not their inner animals that decide "mine" but their human sides tumble together first then fall in love.

The H & h are both not very original (Riley reminded me a lot of Clay) but easy to like. More of Sasha & Hawke of whom every reader has to love and want more of. (Can't wait for #10).

This series just keeps holding back though. Is something really big ever going to happen? Although this series is wonderful and well written they do lack punch in the last 1/4th that an exciting UF book would have. This series is true PNR as the focus in the end is always mostly dealing with the relationship. The endings make me happy though...they are so darn sweet.

I enjoyed this read. Another great book by this Author. Age defying love, always a good theme. But it was nice to see the completion of the circle with these characters and they truely lead by example.

This book as well as
Slave to Sensation and Visions of Heat are from the same series and I couldn't put them down until the last page.
