A brilliant but no less awkward high school senior coming to terms with his mother̐ưs recent death and his father̐ưs refusal to take hospice treatment for recurring and terminal cancer strikes a connection with a sweetly natured transfer student and an English teacher who is sympathetic to his plight. I'm a big fan of Richard Jenkins, so I was looking forward to finally seeing this movie. The acting by the main characters was fine, but there was just something missing. Both the writer and the director have little experience and I think that was the problem. This is a forgettable movie for me.
