It's alright! Very informative but I found it to be very dry at times. Not enough pictures to showcase Netherlands beauty! Decided to pick up other books instead!

I used this guide for info about Amsterdam's attractions. I liked the size of the print and the chapter's organization for this city. The city is zoned into sections with the highlights in each described in paragraph form. Each entry gives a one liner info about entry cost, hours, web address, tram info, and address. The sights are not rated. I liked the brief descriptions of the paintings to see in the Rijsmuseum and Van Gogh museums. It also offered a viewing strategy useful tips if short on time. Maps are colorful and p/c OK except those on a 2 page spread where info is too close to the "ditch". Just a few maps were in this chapter: 1 area map just for transit in Amsterdam; another shows the city area while another zeroes in on the central/old town area. Attractions are printed on the map with shops, hotels, cafes, bars, LGBT bars keyed in by number and color symbols. Maps are easy to read showing the canals, streets.
