This is the first novel I've picked up by Yovanoff and I absolutely LOVED it.

This a beautiful, shivering dive into the dark ocean of adolescence that, like its heroine, runs through the night and leaves you exhausted and breathless by morning. It is honest, painful, and gorgeously real - the fantasy element leaves the characters exposed in unfamiliar territory, forced to face themselves as they are, not as they wish to appear. The characters are not always easy to like, but their flaws and struggles make them difficult not to love.

YA, fantasy and contemporary alike, should sit up and take notice.

This is nothing like I have ever read before and I mean that as a compliment. It's such a weird, weird, weird experience but still intriguing and different. The characters are fascinating and while the plot and concept are weird, I still enjoyed the fact that it was weird.

OMG amazing story. The whole idea about having a romance within a dream that spills into reality is a very unique idea, although they never do really explain how it works. Loved how you could see how Waverly was having an effect on Marshall’s lifestyle. He comments that she makes him better and she does. Also cool how it was narrated in both characters perspective so you get to see both sides. Rating: 5 stars - @Fallenangelhushhush of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

This book was certainly different than I expected. I was expecting either more of a creepy edge or magical edge, or something that just wasn't there. I think that expectation was what made this book harder to read for me, but once I got over the initial hurdle of that I enjoyed it more.
