Certainly a fascinating story but the man writes it as though describing a trip to the shops, particularly the first half in which Hicks describes his early life and travels leading up to his capture in Afganistan.

Part 2 is easier to get through because of the shocking subject matter. It's incredible to believe that this stuff was going on and our then Government let it.
