Singer Joley Drake has always known the price she has to pay for her fame and fortune as a popular rock singer, but she's always been careful to stay away from alcohol and drugs, even if others around her haven't.

But nothing can prepare her for the suspicion that someone is using her concert afterparties as a way of targeting and kidnapping teen girls and selling them into sexual slavery. Mysterious Russian Ilya Prakenskii seems to have an agenda of his own. The more dealings Joley has with him the more she struggles with the fear that he may be involved in the slavery ring. But Ilya isn't what he seems, and he becomes the only one Joley dares to trust in such treacherous times...

I rather enjoy the fun and free spirit of the main character, Joley Drake, in Turbulent Sea, though I think her older sister, Kate, is more like me --love of books and writing, and more of an introvert. I was happy to see that Joley and her Russian bodyguard, Ilya got together--as Ilya had a terrible childhood...and youth, and needed true love--which he found with feisty Joley. Of course I was pleased to see that the Russian mobster, Nikitin, got his just reward.

This was my second favorite of the series, mostly because the previous books led up to the last three. Also, this is probably the most humorous of the Drake Sisters novels.

The sixth Drake vs. the seventh Prakenski. Who will win? How about us. Lots of humor, Romance, and a surprise at the end. Ilya and Jolie have a lot of work ahead of them. In fact they have as much work as Elle.

Magic and love along with family bonds. This is a great series.
