Despite it soundy a bit 'cheesy I rather liked this book. If it is a 'true story' or not I am not sure. Like the Romeo and Juliet story itself, perhaps it includes truth and fiction.

It is well written, and let's facit, well written does not describle a lot of published works these days. I could feel his love for Shakespeare's writing and I could not help but feel touched and moved by his descriptions of teaching Romeo and Juliet to teenagers at home in Canada. His descriptions of the city are wonderful and I regret never having visited this part of Italy.

Give it a try, and I think you will enjoy the atmosphere he creates.
