Kelly Murphy's life as a tulip farmer is pretty routine - up at dawn, off to work, lather, rinse, repeat. But everything changes one sunwashed summer with two dramatic homecomings: Griffith Burnett ? Tulpen Crossing's prodigal son who's set his sights on Kelly, and her beautiful, wayward and, as far as Kelly is concerned, unwelcome sister. Tempted by Griffith, annoyed by Olivia, Kelly is overwhelmed by the secrets that were so easy to keep when she was alone. But Olivia's return isn't as triumphant as she pretends. Her job has no future and, ever since her dad sent her away from the bad boy she loved, she has felt cut off from her past. She's determined to reclaim her man and her place in the family...whether her sister likes it or not. For ten years, she and Kelly have been strangers. Olivia will get by without her approval now. While Kelly and Olivia butt heads, their secrets tumble out in a big, hot mess, revealing some truths that will change everything they thought they knew. Can they forgive each other ? and themselves ? and redefine what it means to be sisters?

The story was a good one. Found some areas problematic. Lots of weight talk, using weight as a weapon and the obligatory "she's not fat, she's curvy!" or she just doesn't know how beautiful she really is routine. It's a buzz kill. Would love to read about a heroine just fine in her skin and not be a tool in the story. The men were a bit perfect and one-dimensional. If you're looking for a fun escape with Susan Mallary this probably isn't the one. But again, it's still entertaining.

Only read half of it. It seems to drag on forever. Moved on to another book pretty fast....

A different book then Mallery has been writing. Moved a little faster when they got caught up in the family drama. Was glad that finally the characters communicated rather than ran away for weeks on end after slamming the door. The characters had depth, could make their own decisions and were likeable. A good read.

I enjoyed this book, it kept me reading it! It seemed to have more depth than her books usually have.

Enjoyable read. Lots of family issues that seemed beyond reality. (but this is fiction :)
It'a still entertaining, and I kept reading to see what happens, but not her best..

Two sisters, Kelly and Olivia Murphy were torn apart when their parents divorced. Finding their way back from the trauma of their teens is the basis of this heart warming romance novel.

Complex characters and I wanted to shake their father to get him to be a parent instead of an out of touch adult when dealing with his ex-wife.

Parts of this story were good - dealing with family issues and how everyone dealt with each other. However I didn't enjoy several chapters that made me feel like I was reading "50 Shades of Grey" again. ( and yes I read all three of those books!) Really didn't think that the book needed all the descriptive parts of Kelly'sexual problems - not a good mix with this book. Found that very disappointing.
