Dan Snow presents an immersive series, going back in time to medieval London, revolutionary Paris and 19th century New York, to bring these cities' stinking histories vividly to life. Taking the travelogue in a whole new direction -- with thought-provoking stunts, historical accounts and state-of-the-art CGI -- it excavates the murky past in gruesome detail during defining periods in history. You'll find out how each of these modern capitals was forged in the muck of the past, emerging from 'filthy cities' into three of the world's model metropolises.

Very well presented. A history of major cities showing that it wasn’t that long ago they were very different, dirty, unhealthy places to live, and what was done about it. Places your grandparents may have lived in!
