Book 3

Third novel in the series. This novel is a little slow in places as the author provides backstories to a couple of characters introduced in the previous novels that seem to take a little too long. That being said the author has built a great fantasy world and this is a very good continuation of the series. There is solid character development and small twists to your expectation of plot development. Worth reading if you interested in the narrative but probably best to start with the first novel.

I'll be honest, I skipped through about a third of this book because going through ANOTHER origin story was taking up too much of my time. The action scenes are AMAZING though,

Excellent read. Again the author ratchets up the action beyond the previous book, and again he does not over extend himself. He explores characters we've only seen from the outside before and we see the world through their eyes. Characters we already know continue to grow and change. We have more flashbacks, it can be confusing to keep track of when we are in the story but he provides dates so you can puzzle it out. This one seems slower than the previous two but still excellent. And I still finished it quickly and stayed up late reading it.I'm looking forward to his next installment.
