In this thriller in the #1 New York Times bestselling In Death series, Lieutenant Eve Dallas must solve the murder of an actress whose final role was to die for...

Lieutenant Eve Dallas is no party girl, but she's managing to have a reasonably good time at the celebrity-packed bash celebrating The Icove Agenda , a film based on one of her famous cases. It's a little spooky seeing the actress playing her, who looks as though she could be her long-lost twin. Not as unsettling, though, as seeing the actress who plays Peabody--drowned in the lap pool on the roof of the director's luxury building.

Talented but rude and widely disliked, K.T. Harris made an embarrassing scene during dinner. Now she's at the center of a crime scene--and Eve is more than ready to get out of her high heels and strap on her holster to step into the role she was born to play: cop.

Could not recommend this book. Lieutenant Eve Dallas is thoroughly unlikeable. The use of abbreviations and slang words, never elucidated, makes me wonder what audience it was aimed at,

typical good read from JD Robb....interesting keeping the actors from the actual people apart... and nice to see Peabody & McNab get closer again.

With all the titles ending "in death" I lose track of my favorites in the series. This was a nice visit with the characters but a little slow.

Love the premise of this story, and Lt. Dallas, Detective Peabody always get the job done. Another good installment of the “In Death” series.

I gave up after reading 50 confusing pages that did not grab my attention in its plot, in its offensive language, and its odd characters. Nothing to like here for me so I returned the book and moved on to another author.

Not like the other In Death books. Usually there's a body dropping every few pages but this one was like a typical murder investigation. A good long read all in all with hardly much action. Eve still has her wits even though it's getting a bit sappy with marriage. I hope her next book has more action and more Roarke!

Finally got my copy! Already read 50 pages during my lunch break :)

You should start at the very beginning if you want to read this book as it is part of a series!

Dallas and Peabody as well as most characters are played by actors in a movie until the actor playing Peabody is murdered at a party attended by most of the characters in the books as well as the actors playing them. Very good book and Roark is still devine.
