Recommended ! An 18-year old friend said this was the best book she'd read in the last year, and I thought it was also one of the best books I'd read, as a 62-year old. It's beautifully written, and has a wonderful story to tell - coming-of-age, considering life's choices, choosing a life-path, and living it out ... highlighting also a most interesting period of history.
