Included are the Great Wall of China, Angkor, Easter Island, and the Taj Mahal. Includes a further reading guide and an index. Each of the volumes in the series is simplified and adapted from Wilkinson and Ingpen's 'Encyclopedia of Mysterious Places' (Dragon's World, 1990). The Australian illustrator won the Hans Christian Andersen Medal in 1986. First published in the UK by Dragon's World (1992).
